Sports & Treatment Massage
Whether you are a weekend warrior or professional athlete, I will customize a massage plan to address your areas of concern based on your active lifestyle. I use assessments to determine limitations in range of motion and postural deviations then will focus on areas of overuse and stress due to repetitive movements, stretch tight muscles, stimulate blood flow and help you meet your performance goals.
Research shows that Sports Massage (pre-event, post-event, recovery and maintenance) can improve endurance, help prevent injuries and aid in recovery.
The most common and best known type of massage - great for relaxation as well as chronic muscle tension. I use Swedish techniques to work through the layers of tissue and muscle slowly, then can focus on areas that need more attention. I will customize the session to meet your needs, incorporating myofascial release, deep tissue and trigger point therapies among other techniques as needed to address areas of stress and pain.
Swedish Massage is beneficial for improving circulation, decreasing the stress hormone cortisol, easing muscle tension and boosting immunity.
ADD ON: Himalayan Salt Stones
Warm, hand-carved salt massage stones from the Himalayan Mountains massage the body in specific combinations to relax and balance body, mind and spirit. Stimulation of specific meridians results in very deep relaxation, improved sleep, reduced inflammation and a sense of emotional peace.
Himalayan Salt Stones supply 84 essential minerals that penetrate deep into your muscles and joints. They are antimicrobial, antibacterial and certified organic.
ADD ON: Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy uses essential oils to improve health and emotional well-being and restore balance to the body.
Essential oils are highly concentrated essences extracted from plants, flowers, trees, fruit, bark, grasses, and seeds with distinctive therapeutic psychological and physiological properties that can help improve and prevent illness.
Currently six oils to choose from: Eucalyptus, Lemon, Peppermint, Sweet Orange, Tea Tree and Lavender.
