COVID-19 Safety Guide
As of June 1, 2020, under Governor Inslee's Proclamation 20-24.1, "a licensed massage therapist is providing a 'health care service' and this service can be provided at any location statewide, including in counties still in Phase 1 under the Governor's Safe Start Washington plan, as long as the requirements in the proclamation and in the laws governing massage therapy are met."
DO NO HARM: In order to protect myself and my clients to the best of my ability, I will continue to seek the most up-to-date information and adjust best practices as needed so as to remain in compliance during each and every service. These entities guide WA State massage therapists:
Here are some (but not all) safety measures I will have in place for my June 9 reopening - please reach out with questions or for more details:
Monitor the Local Health Jurisdiction surge capacities for the counties where I practice
Stagger appointments in order to properly change and prepare for each session
Communicate about health concerns prior to service
Wear a face mask/eye protection for session duration - encourage clients to wear own mask
Ensure appropriate PPE, sanitation products and equipment are on hand
Use a medical grade, EPA-registered virucidal disinfectant on all equipment used
Properly sanitize, store and clean all equipment, linen and clothing after each session
Limit facial and intraoral massage to medically-necessary clients only
Continue to offer contactless forms and payment options
All new clients will now receive a Health Assessment - COVID19 Questionnaire attached to their first Intake Form (sent via email). This Questionnaire will also be included in your Appointment Reminder email 24-hrs prior to your service.
I want to help protect each and every one of my clients. I will continue to do what's best for the greater good and would happily accept any feedback or suggestions you may have. I look forward to working with you soon!
